Cornerstone at Milford Stocks Up on Holiday Cheer for 9th Annual Stockings for Seniors

Cornerstone at Milford Assisted Living is getting into the holiday spirit with the 9th annual Stockings for Seniors Fundraiser, an initiative established to spread cheer to senior neighbors in need. The community is collecting items with which to fill stockings for the Milford Senior Center, which will distribute the gifts to area seniors for the holidays.

Cornerstone at Milford launched this fundraiser in 2013, and, along with the help of many local businesses and organizations, aims to provide older adults in need with clothing items, winter accessories, personal care products, and other useful household items. At its core, the initiative offers support to seniors who may not have family nearby, or those who may have experienced personal losses throughout the year. Stockings for Seniors gives these older adults the true gift of the season: a reminder that they are not forgotten. 

This year, Cornerstone at Milford has partnered with area senior centers and care providers including the Milford Senior Center, Countryside Healthcare, the Franklin Senior Center and The Enclave of Franklin. Donators can drop off requested items to Cornerstone at Milford (11 Birch Street, Milford) or any of the above locations from now until December 9th.
