Elizabeth J. (Philbrook) Butler, 82

Elizabeth J. (Philbrook) Butler, 82, passed away on July 17, 2022 at Cedarwood Gardens, Franklin, MA. A resident of  of Bellingham, she was the beloved wife of the late Jerrald M. Butler and the loving mother of Carol J. Wyatt of Moosup, CT and Julie M. Gardner and her husband Stu of Franklin, MA. She leaves her cherished grandchildren Angela Short and her husband Greg of Pomfret, CT, Jerry Ferguson of Woonsocket, RI and great-grandchildren Haley and Nicholas Short and Lily Ferguson. Born in Westfield, MA on September 21, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Ralph A. and Anne (Leise) Philbrook, Sr. She was the sister of Floyd Philbrook of Las Vegas, NV, Charlie Philbrook of Chester, MA, and her late brother Ralph Jr. and her late sister Helen.

Elizabeth was a longtime resident of Bellingham since 1972. She worked at Kmart in Milford for 25 years until retiring in 2001. Devoted to her family, she will be greatly missed.

Calling hours are on Wednesday, July 27th from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Cartier’s Funeral Home, 151 So. Main St. (Rte 126), Bellingham, MA. Interment will be on Thursday, July 28th at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, MA. Procession will be departing the funeral home at 11:30AM for burial at 1:15PM.
