- The Turkey Trot 5K to benefit Franklin Food Pantry. -- Race will begin at 8 a.m. Registration can be made online at franklinturkeytrot.org; at the LDS Church (91 Jordan Rd) from 7 – 9 p.m. the Wednesday before the race; or the morning of the race from 7 – 8 a.m. The first 150 registered runners will receive race t-shirts. While the registration fee of $20 is preferred, individuals have the option of donating 20 nonperishable items to register. The Pantry has a shortage of personal hygiene products, such as toilet paper, deodorant, shampoo, feminine products, etc.
- 10 am FHS vs King Philp at KP 201 Franklin St. in Wrentham. Tickets.
- Just about everything is closed except a few gas stations
- MBTA bus and subway systems will run on a Sunday schedule. The commuter rail will run on a weekend schedule.
- The Water Department issued a mandatory notice regarding e-coli found – but not in treated water within the system. So, the takeaway is there is no concern for the public.
- Trash pickup will be delayed one day.
