Franklin's Future Leaders is a group of children ages 4-12+ recognizing the Importance of Community!

Formed four  years ago, children learn how we can help the community and how the community helps us. Through guest speakers and a variety of volunteer services, these children will have an upper hand in doing more community work as they get older. The season runs from October to the end of May. This is a FREE Group and sponsored by The Dance Studio. Both Leader and Co-Leader are current Wrentham Lions and are CORI. Future Franklin Leaders is a 501(c)3 organization.

Giving starts with The Franklin Food Pantry, where Tina Powderly came and spoke with the children about the importance of helping our neighbors who are food insecure. We gave many donated items for her to take with her. Our next fundraisers are Toys for Tots thru the Franklin Police Department, where a couple of officers will speak to the children about he importance of Giving to those who are less fortunate for the Holidays. We will do an in person visit in April.

Next is our giving to our elders in the community. Ariel Doggett will visit the group in January where we will donate bags to the seniors.. Included in the bags are lap blankets, word searches, hats, scarfs, gloves, eye glasses repair kits, pencils, gift cards and more.

February brings us Melanie Hamblen , owner of Agway, where we plant flowers or veggies and watch them grow during the spring, summer seasons. She donates all that is needed and speaks about how plantings are important to those that Farm in the area.

In March, we will be visiting the Franklin Fire Department for the first time!

Franklin's Future Leaders are collecting donations for Toys for Tots and Seniors until 12/14!
