April Date Added to MetroWest Symphony Schedule

The Metrowest Symphony Orchestra has two nearby concerts. The ensemble, based in Natick, includes many area musicians, including Franklin's Randy LaRosa pictured above. They will be performing on Sunday, March 12 at 2pm, in Natick High School’s Auditorium. The orchestra will present Classics You’ll Love!, music by Beethoven, Tchaikovsky, and Dvorak, which will include a wide variety of beautiful melodies, strong rhythmic sections, & ethnic themes.

Whether you are a classical music lover or not, this concert will be a great experience, where you can hear wonderful music played by music-loving volunteers and professionals, and an up & coming young artist who has a huge career ahead of him. Plus, the concert will be a benefit for Metro West Veterans Services.

Of special interest, our young soloist Andrew Y. Kim, will be the cello soloist in Tchaikovsky’s Rococo Variations. A student at Weston High, Andrew began playing the cello at age six. Locally, he has been the soloist with orchestras in Lexington, Weston, & Brockton, and he has won top prizes in noteworthy competitions including the Fidelity/Boston Pops Young Artist Competition, the American Protégé International Concerto Competition, and the American Classical Young Musician International Competition.

And Save the Date for our next concert too! On April 30, we’ll be giving a Family Concert in Hopkinton including a Petting Zoo and music spotlighting the four sections of the orchestra, all of which could inspire young ones to try a musical instrument and create a way to make music all their life.

Metrowest Symphony makes tickets accessible to everyone: Adults $20, Seniors & Veterans $10, and 12 & under are free. You can check out our website: metrowestsymphony.org A special thanks to Mutual One for being a Silver Sponsor.
