Donald M. Dangelo, 88, formerly of Franklin died May 16 the Hope Health Holitar Hospice Center in Providence, Rhode Island following a long illness. He was the husband of the late Mary Ellen (Johansen) Dangelo.

Born in Milford, December 29,1934, the son of the late Severin and Theresa (Campagna) Dangelo, Donald had lived for most of his life in Franklin before moving to Millville in 2003.

Donald had been a truck driver for many years.

He had worked for Ober Express, the Holmes Bus Company and also drove long haul trucks around the country.

Donald had served in the Army during the late 1950s attaining the rank of PFC.

Donald enjoyed his farm and his horses.

He is survived by his sons Eric Dangelo of Blackstone and Jason Dangelo and his wife Maureen of Plainville.

He is also survived by his grandchildren Kelsey Dangelo of Plainville and Kerrie and Riecke Dellek of Plainville and his great-grandsons of Jaxson and Quinn of Plainville.

He is also survived by his siblings, Norman Dangelo of Franklin and Marjorie Hanavan of Franklin.

Donald is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

His graveside service will be held on June 6 at St. Mary's Cemetery, Franklin at 1:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to the MSPCA 350 s. Huntington Ave. Boston, MA 02130.
