Service to the community is what it’s all about, said Charles Bailey, who announced his planned run for the Town Council to friends and supporters in recent weeks.
Bailey has lived in Franklin for some 30 years. Following their marriage, he and his wife Annamaria bought their first home in Franklin in 1993 and started their family. In 1994, Bailey became an EMT and then a Paramedic and entered the Fire Service in 1999. “I proudly served the community of Franklin as a Firefighter and Paramedic for twenty years,” he said. And that background gave him a deep knowledge of the community and the people that call Franklin home.
The couple raised their two children, Daniel, and Brianna, both educated in the Franklin school system and both later pursuing their education, Daniel at Wentworth Institute and later at Drexel University and Brianna at Emmanuel College and Boston University. She’s currently attending Touro University in NYC and is studying to become a Doctor of Pharmacology.
Bailey said he wants to bring his broad experience and balanced perspective to the Town Council. He also believes his fire service and paramedic experience is vital for the hard decisions facing the town in coming years with projected reductions in revenue and new expenses, like $2 million dollars for the Vocational School replacement.”
“I am ready and I can’t wait for August first to begin gathering signatures,” he said.
