Daryl S. Bourgeois, 41, of Milford and formerly of Franklin, passed away on October 30,2023.

He is survived by his cherished daughters, Sophia and Emily Bourgeois, and his beloved wife of 13 years, Andrea (O’Sullivan) Bourgeois. Daryl’s life was marked by an unwavering love for his wife and daughters. As he would affectionately tell them, “I love my ladies!” They were his world, and he was theirs.

Daryl was a graduate of Bishop Feehan High School in 2001 and earned his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Hartford in 2005, where he was a member of the Tau Epsilon Phi Fraternity. He was a 2011 graduate of the MBTA Transit Police Academy.

Daryl proudly served in the United States Navy as an FMF Corpsman, bravely deploying to Iraq as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He served in several units which included the 1st Medical Battalion, Bravo Company at Camp Pendleton and 1st Battalion 25th Marines, HQ Company at Fort Devens. He was honored with many prestigious awards for his service, including the National Defense Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, Expert Rifleman Medal, Pistol Marksmanship Medal, and the Enlisted Fleet Marine Force Warfare Specialist designation.

Daryl’s courage, strength, and dedication to public service was evident in his law enforcement career. He was immensely proud of his time with the Boston University Police Department, where he was a dedicated Patrol Sergeant. During his tenure with BUPD, he was recognized with the Medal of Valor and a Life Saving Award. His law enforcement career also included time with Uxbridge Police, California State University Police, Ocean City Maryland Police, as well as providing security for Sturdy Memorial Hospital and Boston Medical Center.

Daryl’s favorite pastime was spending time with his wife and daughters. He cherished any opportunity he could to make memories with them. He was a loving husband and devoted father. Daryl was hardworking, humble, witty, and found pleasure in the little things like a good Star Wars movie or his favorite pastry.

A private service was held to honor and remember Daryl. He will forever remain in our hearts.
