A watermain broke Monday afternoon along Pine Street at Sunken Meadow. According to Robert "Brutus" Cantoreggi, DPW director, an old concrete pipe blew out, and "about 8 folks, our guys, responded." The repair, which involved digging a deep trench and removing and replacing the bad section of pipe, took about 6 hours.
Light snow, with a high of 33 and low of 20 degrees. Light snow in the morning, moderate snow in the afternoon, clear in the evening, light freezing rain overnight.
