Arthur Thomas Grinham, 74, of Bellingham and a former resident of Franklin, passed away peacefully on February 16, 2024 after a short illness.

He was born December 9, 1949 a son of the late Arthur T. Grinham, Sr and Catherine F. (O'Connor) Grinham, and was raised in Cambridge, MA.

Arthur worked his entire career for Verizon, mainly as a lineman, and was a Vietnam veteran, having served his country for four years in the U. S. Air Force.

Art is survived by his long time partner and love of his life, Karen Johnson, of Bellingham, MA., as well as his two sons, Michael Grinham and wife Christina from Uxbridge, MA and Timothy Grinham and wife Kelly from Paxton, MA. He is also survived by his five step-children, Matthew Johnson, Valerie Johnson Crook, David Johnson, Gregory Johnson, and Steven Johnson. Arthur was pre-deceased by three weeks by his former spouse, Sandra (Sam) Grinham of Franklin, MA.

His pride and joy were his beloved grandchildren, Kyleigh and Grace Grinham, Jacob Johnson, Abigail and Sarah Crook, Jennifer Earl, Rebekah Ferreira, and his great grandson, Michael (Mack) O'Dell.

Art enjoyed traveling and he and Karen went on several cruises to the Caribbean and Alaska with friends as well as trips to Canada and Italy but his all-time favorite was the trip they made to Ireland, the country of his forefathers.

Arthur was an avid golfer and often played on 4 different leagues. He enjoyed an annual golfing trip for the joy of the game and camaraderie with his golf buddies. He was also a member of the Franklin Elks where he had many dear friends, especially those "boys" who joined him on Saturday afternoon at "the table of knowledge"!

He will be missed!

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service Thursday February 22nd, in the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. at 10AM.

Interment with military honors will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Franklin.

Calling hours are Wednesday Feb. 21st, from 4-7PM.
