Michael Francis Sheehan 57, of Franklin and Dennis, Massachusetts, died April 27. He was the husband of Mary (Wolf) Sheehan for over 32 years.
Born in Nyack, New York, February 25, 1967, the son of John and Patricia (Hackett) Sheehan, of New London, New Hampshire. Michael was raised in Trumbull, Connecticut. He and Mary have lived in Franklin for 26 years and raised their family there.
He was a graduate of St. Joseph High School in Trumbull, CT and Mount St. Mary’s University in Emmitsburg, Maryland, where Michael and Mary met.
Michael had a long successful career that he loved as a commodities trader. Trading precious metals was his passion, he was well known to be a fair and honest portfolio manager. Through his time working in Boston, New York and London he made wonderful lifelong friends.
Michael loved skiing, biking and the New England Patriots. He enjoyed spending time with his family on the beaches of Bleak House Downs in Dennis and Aruba. He will be remembered for being kind and generous to all, treating everyone with respect. He never met a stranger.
In addition to his wife and parents he is survived by his children, Kara Sheehan of Boston, Timothy Sheehan of Boston and John Sheehan of Boston.
Michael is also survived by his siblings, Duffy Sheehan (Sharon) of New London, New Hampshire, Kathleen Da Cunha (Luis) of Fresno, California and Mary Karasik (Ian) of Stratford, Connecticut. He is also survived by his in-laws, Arthur and Sharon Wolf of Fairfield, CT as well as his brothers and sisters in-law and many nieces, nephews and good friends.
His funeral mass will be held on Monday May 6 in St. Mary’s Church, Franklin at 11:00 a.m.
Burial will be private.
