Serious Washington Street Crash Sends 2 to Trauma Unit

According to reports from New England Fire News, Franklin first responders were called to the vicinity of 855 Washington Street, at about 4:42 pm Monday for a motor vehicle access with serious injuries. The initial reports were that it was a two-car, head-on crash. Additional units were called to the scene.

A second report from New England Fire news stated that a ‘victim had been extracted’ and a three-person ambulance team was assigned to transport the individual to the Rhode Island trauma center.

A third report from New England Fire indicated that a second person was also transported to the Rhode Island trauma center.

Later in the evening, Joseph Barbieri, Deputy Fire Chief, confirmed those details. No information on the identity of the accident victims or their condition was available.
