A sunny Wednesday provided a perfect tableau for a ceremonial “ribbon cutting” to open Franklin’s branch of the Primrose School and welcome the organization into the business community. Presiding was Sherri Hannon director of programs and services at Tri-County Regional Chamber of Commerce, accompanied by several chamber board members.

First, of course, Hannon and the town’s legislative delegation, State Rep. Jeff Roy and State Senator Becca Rausch, took a tour of the facility, including infant rooms, a large play yard, and even a garden.

Primrose Schools started in Georgia in 1982 and has now grown to more than 500 locations as a national system of accredited private preschools that provides, according to the organization web site, “a premier early education and child care experience for children and families. Franchise Owners, leadership teams and school staff partner with parents to help children develop the right foundation for continual learning in life.”

In Franklin, the franchisees are Neha Patel, Parag Patel, Samir Patel and Hemali Patel.

The Open House at the facility is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 7 from 10 to 1.
