Michelle M. Vitti, 46, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, after battling a neurodegenerative disease for 26 years.
Michelle was born on May 1, 1978, in Newton, MA. She was the daughter of Gary A. and JoAnne (Piselli) Vitti and the sister of Paula A. Vitti.
Michelle was raised in Newton, MA until the age of 14. She then moved to Franklin, MA where she graduated from Franklin High School in 1996. Michelle continued her education, becoming a Registered Nurse specializing in pediatrics.
Michelle grew up full of excitement and loved being in the middle of the fun. She was dynamic, jovial, and passionate. She was a woman with an indomitable spirit who loved fiercely. Michelle was a fighter and a champion facing her many challenges with tenacity and courage.
Michelle was a confidant; the type of person you could call any time of day to lean on. She was protective of and the biggest supporter of those she cherished. She was dependable and astute; able to easily recall details or important dates such as all her family and friends’ birthdays.
Along with her parents and sister, Michelle leaves behind her brother-in-law, Marco S. Andrade, nephew Evan M. Vitti and nieces Anya M. and Ella F. Black-Andrade. She also leaves behind her cat, Kosmo, many friends and relatives and an impressive Red Sox memorabilia collection.
Michelle is predeceased by her grandparents, Orazio “Ray” and Lena P. Vitti, and Joseph “Red” J. and Theresa P. Piselli.
Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, from 4pm-8pm in the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home, 33 Cottage Street, Franklin MA.
Funeral to take place Thursday, November 21, 2024, starting at 10am from the funeral home, followed by a graveside service at Saint Mary's Cemetery, 175 Beaver Street, Franklin MA.
A celebration of life will be held in the near future.
