Mildred “Millie “ (Sprouse) DeGrazia, 82, of Franklin died peacefully on January 8th, 2025 , at home with family at her side. She was the wife of the late Michael “Mickey” DeGrazia who died in November.
Born in Asheville, North Carolina, October 17, 1942, the daughter of the late Joseph and Alice Sprouse, Mildred attended schools in Asheville, North Carolina, Miami, Florida, Franklin and Needham, Massachusetts.
She also attended John Robert Powers in Boston and Kenneth’s Beauty/Hair School in Framingham and Dean College in Franklin.
Mildred had owned and operated a hairdressing company, Silver Shears in Franklin for many years.
She loved spending time with grandchildren, family and friends. She enjoyed reading, painting, crafts, swimming and family vacations at Disney World.
Mildred is survived by her children, Laurie Carlucci and Fiancé Michael Riu of Franklin, Michael DeGrazia and his wife Lisa of West Wareham and Lynn Sauter and her husband Timothy of Millville.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Rachel Barry and her husband Ben Barry, Michael Carlucci, Justin Sauter, Michael DeGrazia, Jr., Ryan Sauter and great-grandchild Gavin Barry.
She was the sister of the late Lotti Sprouse, John Sprouse and his wife Ruth Sprouse, Joseph Sprouse, Jr. and his wife Myrtle Sprouse, Patsy Sprouse and Phyllis Sprouse.
She is also survived by her brother-in-law Edward Mondello and many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral services will be private.
