Rain Doesn't Dampen Start of Ladybug Trail Weekend

Above, beloved Franklin restauranteur, Ron Bucchanio, brought his `Beetle' to the Historical Museum to highlight the Lady Bug Trail Walk on Saturday.

Franklin Downtown Partnership promoted the Trail with colorful signs.

Costumed Historical Commission member Jan Prenctice shows off the museum's supply of water and Trail information (foreground), historic photos and newsclips of the lady bug "kids" who lobbied the state in 1974, and (in the background, a WCVB video aboutu the 50th anniversary visit of the former Franklin 2nd graders visiting with Governor Healey last year, organized by state rep. Jeff Roy.

Trail info and bottled waters will be available  Sunday on the Museum porch at 80 West Central Street from about 11 am to 5 pm,
