Gov. Maura Healey shot down the idea of charging tolls on the Cape Cod bridges on Wednesday, after a local official raised the idea earlier this week.
The Franklin Fire and Health Department is celebrating EMS week (May 18 to May 24) by having a free hands-only CPR class on May 21st for the community. According to the Town Clerk's Office, postcards updating the citizens have been mailed to each head of household. Banners and sandwich boards at the main intersections throughout town will provide more info. Ballots have arrived and absentee and vote by mail ballots will also be going out. Ballot testing has been scheduled for May 6th at 9AM in the Council Chambers.

According to a report in Boston Contrarian, Federal cuts seem like they may doom a huge plan to realign the Mass Turnpike in Allston, which promised to create more developable land but was expected to snarl commutes from the Western Suburbs for years.
A recent letter to residents from Norfolk County Register of Deeds Bill O’Donnell reminds us of the painless funding that support Community Preservation Act, which most county communities have adopted. In 2019, to support the Act, recording fees were raised to $50 and municipal liens to $25.
