The Franklin Historical Museum will be presenting a display of
Military Uniforms and Memorabilia as part of Blue Star Museums, a program the Museum recently joined.

Admission to the museum is always free but in conjunction with the program, the museum wishes to
extend a special welcome to this program offering to currently
serving military personnel and their families this summer from Armed
Forces Day, May 17, 2025, through Labor Day, September 1, 2025.

Franklin Historical
Museum’s Exhibit will feature uniforms as well as a rare “Parachute
Wedding Dress” from World War II – made from a military parachute
in order for a local Franklin woman to wed her soldier husband in 1946. The
Museum is open for regular hours on Saturday, May 24 from 10-1 and
Sunday, May 25 from 1-4. In addition the museum will be open in
coordination with the Memorial Day parade which will pass by on nearby Emmons Street, from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm on
Monday, May 26.
