They're Back! And So is the Wed-Sun Fun on Franklin Common!

The quick bulletin:  The carnival, rides and local food booths are back in operation for the town's Fourth of July Celebration, starting at 6 - 10 pm on Wednesday and including FREE live music.

The longer bulletin is that the whole thing is organized each year by volunteers of the Franklin July 4th Coalition, primarily Paul Kortick and family and Joe Carmignani and family...They hire and manage the carnival company, provide a venue for local organizations like the Franklin Rod & Gun Club to serve food and make money for their own organization, pay for free musical entertainment, including the widely known Mike Crandall Franklin Blues Festival AND, they pay for the fireworks (Saturday, 10 pm at Franklin High) and even event security.  In other words, it is entirely self funding!
