The Norfolk County Sheriff’s Office and the local police department are teaming up once again to host their popular free Summer Safety Fest at Crescent Ridge Dairy on Saturday, August 9th from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Crescent Ridge was recently named as a stop on the state's "ice cream trail."

The event brings together local public safety agencies, community organizations, and Norfolk County residents for a day filled with interactive displays, K9 and safety demonstrations, and numerous local organizations.

Families can explore bouncy houses, take part in a crowd-favorite Touch-A-Truck experience, where children can get up close with police vehicles, fire trucks, and other emergency vehicles, and enjoy free hamburgers and hot dogs.

“This event is a great opportunity for people to meet the public safety professionals who serve their communities and to learn more about the resources available to them in a fun and relaxed setting,” said Norfolk County Sheriff Patrick McDermott. “We are grateful for our partners at the Sharon Police and Fire Departments.”

The Crescent Ridge Dairy is located at 407 Bay Road in Sharon. Delicious Crescent Ridge ice cream will also be available for purchase.

“We’re excited to partner with the Norfolk Sheriff’s Office again this year, and we look forward to welcoming people of all ages to this wonderful summertime tradition,” said Sharon Police Chief Stephen Coffey.
