Why Take Firearms Training at the Franklin Rod & Gun Club? 

Don’t just take our word for it – over 65% of our enrollments are the result of referrals from past students! Our instructors are committed to delivering comprehensive education in both personal protection and recreational shooting. Whether students are new to firearms or initially hesitant, we emphasize safety, respect, and responsible use throughout the training process. Our approach focuses on practical, hands-on learning, ensuring students acquire the necessary skills to handle firearms safely and effectively.

Through focused instruction in the classroom and on the range, we enable individuals to confidently begin their firearms journey or sharpen their everyday carry skills. Unlike larger training facilities, the Franklin Rod and Gun Club distinguishes itself by offering smaller class sizes, typically limited to just 6 or 12 students. This creates a more relaxed, low-pressure environment, ideal for beginners or individuals who may feel overwhelmed in larger groups. Smaller class sizes also allow for more personalized, one-on-one instruction, enabling students to progress at their own pace. Furthermore, this format enhances the ability to closely monitor safety, ensuring that all students practice proper techniques and adhere to safety protocols. 

Another distinctive feature offered by the club is private classes. Whether for family, friends, colleagues, or acquaintances, if you have a group interested in taking a class but the published dates are inconvenient, the club will work with you to arrange a schedule that works for everyone involved. All instructors are NRA & MA State Police Basic Firearms Safety certified. They represent over 200 years of combined firearms experience with decades of teaching & training students. As active members of the local community, they are committed to providing ongoing support and remain readily available for any post-class questions or guidance. 

The club provides firearms training for all skill levels, ranging from introductory courses, initial (LTC) licensing, multi-state (Utah) permit, personal protection, NRA instructor certification, and a comprehensive series of five concealed carry classes teaching more advanced techniques.
