On, Thursday evening, according to a press release later issued by Norfolk Police, a vehicle was located in Franklin by the Franklin Police, which was reported stolen in Bellingham. The driver fled from Franklin officers leading them through Franklin and then into Norfolk. An eyewitness writing on Facebook, said they saw a black SUV on King Street running down multiple signs as police were in pursuit.
Refusing to stop as directed by police emergency vehicles, including Norfolk Police, Norfolk officers successfully deployed ‘stop sticks,’ deflating multiple tires on the suspect’s car. Unable to continue further, the car eventually stopped on Route 1A in Wrentham, where the suspect was taken into custody by Franklin and Wrentham officers.
Norfolk will also be charging the suspects for violations occurring within the town, according to the police statement. There do not appear to have been any statements issued by Franklin or Norfolk.
The suspect or charges being considered has not been announced.
