Franklin Country Club Legal Notice Town of Franklin Conservation Commission Pursuant to Massachusetts General Laws Ch. 131, s.40 (Wetlands Protection Act), the Franklin Conservation Commission will hold a Hybrid Public Hearing on Thursday, September 4, 2025 at 7:07 PM on a Notice of Intent filed by Kelly Cardoza of Avalon Consulting Group, Taunton, MA on behalf of Steve Brennan of Franklin Country Club, Inc., Franklin, MA. The applicant is proposing the expansion of the existing clubhouse, modifications to the 5th tee complex, and the vista pruning. Approximately 1,876 square feet (sf) of work is proposed within Bordering Vegetated Wetlands (BVW) and 160 linear feet (lf) of work is proposed within bank, both in the form of native plantings. Additionally approximately 40,723 sf of proposed work is within the 100-foot Buffer Zone to BVW, including work in the 0- to 25-foot “No Disturbance” Zone and the 25- to 50-foot Buffer Zone to BVW, and approximately 38,935 sf of proposed work is within the 200-foot Riverfront Area. The Project is located at 672 East Central Street, Map 300, Lot 002, within the Rural Residential I Zoning District. The hearing will provide an open forum for the discussion. This meeting will be done remotely via the “ZOOM” platform and “In-person” in the Council Chambers of the Municipal Building, 355 East Central Street.
