Meg Hagen and Erin Gallagher, the duo that has brought a Children's Museum from concept to completion in Franklin in two years were beaming as they welcomed the crowd and delivered syncopated remarks talking about their vision and the many groups and individuals that have helped make it a reality.

One wag said she just calls the pair, the Galagens since they have been such a capable and inseparable team.

The opening remarks came from Town Councilor Melanie Hamblen, who owned the facility prior to its conversion to a museum, as Franklin Agway. She also mentioned the site's long history, going back to a time when I cotton mill was located on the site.

A representative from the office of Senator Rausch also spoke briefly as did Rep. Jeff Roy, and Brad Chaffee, founder and CEO of the Camford Group, which was in charge of the construction.

Other attending included Norfolk County Commissioner Richard Staiti, Town Councilors, Glenn Jones, Tom Mercer, and Ted Cormier-Leger plus several town officials.
