Lewis C. Kotros (O.F.D.), 66, of Worcester beloved husband of Terry Kotros for 38 years died unexpectedly on September 13, 2025 due to complications from pancreatic cancer at UMass Memorial Medical Center.
Lewis was born on June 6, 1959 in Dorchester, MA to Lucretia and Theofan Kotros. He was raised in Franklin, MA and had lived in Florida, Northboro, MA and Hudson, MA (20 years) until moving to Worcester, MA.
After High School graduation he joined the Merchant Marines, traveling extensively in the Middle East. Upon returning he joined the Local I.B.E.W. 103 Electrical Union. After retiring he returned to college and completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Communications at Worcester University.
Lew enjoyed traveling especially to Ireland and Key West. He loved rock concerts, all sports Boston and he did play softball and hockey. Fondly, remembering when he played with the FHS hockey team at the Boston Garden.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his brothers George, Art and his wife Carol, nephew Nick Kotros and niece Allison and husband Dan Cullitty.
Also surviving his mother-in-law Kay Tibert and his brothers and sisters-in-law, Scott and Heidi Tibert (FL), Debbie Asbridge, Michael and Beth Tibert, Marty Tibert (TX) and Deanne and Shawn Fagan (CT). Also surviving 16 nieces and nephews and 9 great nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents and his brother Steven Kotros.
Lew lived his life filled with love, laughter, and respect for all.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, September 28, 2025 at 1:00 p.m., Leo’s Ristorante, 11 Leo Turo Way, Worcester, MA
