Barbara J. Griffin, 91, of Medway, Massachusetts, and formerly of Milford, and Cape Cod Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on October 12, 2025, surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of the late John R. Griffin who passed away in 2024.

Barbara was born in Boston, daughter of the late Melvin and Florence (Sherman) Lewis. She was a devoted sister to her two late brothers, Melvin Lewis of East Falmouth, MA, and Gordon Lewis of Newton, MA, her three late sisters, Laura Sabilia of Holbrook, MA, Elizabeth LaPorte of Milford, MA and Florence Capostagno of Weymouth, MA. She is survived by her brother, Charles Lewis of Wareham, MA.

Barbara attended Brighton High School in Brighton, Massachusetts. She continued her education and earned her Massachusetts real estate brokers license and a license in cosmetology from Kenneth Hair Design. She was employed as a hair dresser for many years.

Barbara was married to her late husband John for 70 years with whom she shared a wonderful life and had five children. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, and family gatherings. Her greatest passion was spending time with her family, enjoying the company of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren whom she adored. Her favorite gathering was Christmas Eve.

Barbara had many hobbies that she enjoyed. Her favorite was keeping John busy. Together they had an interest in real estate and home improvements. Planning and designing each project was her passion.

Barbara enjoyed her retirement years hosting cookouts with her family at her waterfront home on Cape Cod. She and John enjoyed all who came to visit. They spent winter months together on the golf course in Myrtle Beach, appreciating the warmer climate and the company of friends.

Barbara is survived by her children, Janice Lussier and her husband, Ron, James Griffin, John Griffin and his wife Dee, Judith Rosati and her husband Bill, Joy Cowen and her husband, Jim, her 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, 1 great great-grandchild, and many nieces and nephews.
