To the Editor:
After reading your article about the Medway School Committee meeting regarding Angelica Crosby, I’m outraged by the Committee’s silence and inaction. How can someone who has endorsed violence, celebrated the death of Charlie Kirk, and targeted Medway families and children be honored on a school plaque for “excellence”?
Crosby has publicly stated that “violence is the only answer,” mocked parents of children with special needs, and shared private medical information about students to exclude and ostracize them. These are not minor lapses in judgment — they’re deliberate acts of cruelty that have no place anywhere near our schools.
Yet the School Committee reportedly held an executive session, voted to take no action, and still moved forward with recognizing her. That is shameful. It tells our children that harassment, hate, and threats are tolerated if you’re politically connected.
This is not about politics — it’s about decency, safety, and accountability. The Medway community deserves better than leaders who reward dangerous behavior and hide behind silence. The School Committee must act now to restore trust and protect our students.
Sincerely,
Laura Rymer
