Under the temporary gavel of Town Administrator Jamie Hellen, the Franklin Town Council came to order with two incumbents and seven new members Wednesday evening.

The first order of business was electing a chair, the honor going through a unanimous vote to Robert "Bob" Dellorco, the former Vice Chair.

Dellorco then chaired the rest of the meeting, asking for nominations and votes for Vice Chair. Two candidates were proposed, Ken Ojukwu and Gene Grella. The vote went to Grella, 5-4.

The only nomination put forward for Clerk was incumbent Ted Cormier-Leger, who won the position unanimously. Because he was participating remotely, Caroline Griffith was nominated and voted on to act as temporary Clerk for the evening.

The Council approved an Administration recommendation for a Town Council  Procedures maual.

The bulk of the rest  of evening amounted to "Town Council 101" -- reviewng rules, regulations, and procedures for those who were new to the process.
