A "smash and grab" robbery occurred overnight at Valle's Jewelers, at the corner of Main and Emmons. According to first police reports, it is not clear what, if anything, was taken. Police were searching for a male in a black shirt with a logo on the back, possibly injured. Franklin Police, the K9 unit and the Mass. State Police Crime Scene unit were involved. More details will be posted on Monday, when the officer accredited to speak with the media is available.
