Retired Town Clerk, Debbie Pellegri (at left in photo above) joined current Town Clerk, Nancy Danello (at right) in filling out their respective nomination papers for the town’s biennial election. Pellegri is vying for a fourth term on the Town Council; Danello for the Town Clerk’s post. The pair completed their “paperwork” a few minutes after 8 am on Monday, with other candidates scheduled to follow suit later in the day.
Important dates in the election cycle include:
Sept. 10, 5 pm – Deadline to get nomination papers
Sept. 14, 5 pm – Deadline to submit signed nomination papers for certification
Sept 30, 5 pm – Last day to withdraw candidacy
Oct. 13 – Last day to register to vote
Nov. 2 – Election Day at Franklin High School, 6 am to 8 pm
Candidates will be seeking the following open positions:
Board of Health 1 Seat
Board of Assessors 1 Seat
Planning Board 2 Seats
School Committee 7 Seats
Town Clerk 1 Seat
Town Council 9 Seats
