Bellingham Police Report Unusual Break-in
On August 15, 2026, at approximately 12:37 a.m., officers responded
to the area of South Main St. and Main for a report of a residential
breaking and entering, Upon arrival, officers were informed that a
suspect climbed through a window and assaulted one of the residents.
The suspect was described as a 6-foot, skinny, African American male,
approximately 30-40 years old wearing a black hooded sweatshirt. The
Bellingham Police Department has incrneased patrols in the area
throughout all hours of the day. Detectives are actively canvassing
the area for possible evidence and video footage. As a precaution,
residents are encouraged to ensure that exterior doors and windows
are secured, particularly during overnight hours, and to promptly
report any suspicious persons or activity to the Bellingham Police
Department, The Bellingham Police Department is asking residents to
check camera footaoge for any activity between the hourse of 11 p.m.
on August 14 and 1.30 a.m August 15. Any video footage can be sent to
