Franklin's Charles Bailey III Take Shot at Incumbent Rausch

The name of Charles Bailey III, is familiar to many in the area as a retired paramedic and firefighter in Franklin, as well as an unsuccessful candidate two years ago in his attempt to unseat long-time Franklin-Medway State Representative Jeff Roy. Most recently he has also been, and remains, the chair of the Franklin Republican Town Committee.

Now, he is also aiming at a challenging campaign to defeat State Senator Becca Rausch (D-Needham) who is anathema to a section of the electorate but has withstood prior challenges from former Franklin Republican Dashe Videira and Shawn Dooley, a former State Rep. currently a Commissioner to the Civil Service Commission. Bailey's campaign is first focused on getting him enough write-in votes in the Republican primary, Sept 1, to qualify for a slot on the November Ballot.

On his Facebook page, Bailey wrote:
