Tri=County Metal Makers Deliver for Franklin Police

The Franklin Police department recently partnered with the Tri-County Regional Vocational Technical School metal shop students. They fabricated a medal storage unit for the department's AEDs and other patrol equipment. 

 This was all done through Community Services Officer Paul Guarinio and the Tri-County
metal shop teachers.  According to the Tri-County web site, "students learn to manipulate the power of fire and electricity to create unique metal projects...[and] experience modern welding and fabrication techniques working with carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminum. A wide range of skills surrounding welding and sheet metal are presented which may lead to AWS certification. Joint design, material and alloy selection and machine maintenance are also included in the curriculum.

"The workmanship on this is amazing. These kids should be proud," said Lieutenant Jason Reilly.
