MEDWAY: Steven Prakapas

Steven Prakapas, 43, of Medway formerly of South Boston, passed away on August 31st 2026.

Born on April 22nd 1983 in Boston, Steven was the son of Edward and Lorraine Prakapas.

Steven was a graduate of South Boston High School and pursued his career in the plumbing industry shortly after. Steven was a family oriented man; he loved skiing, spending time at the family house, going to sports games, going out with friends, being a jokester, and was always the life of the party.

Steven is survived by daughter Fiona Prakapas; parents Edward and Lorraine Prakapas; his siblings Lorraine Gwynn and Eric Prakapas husband of Melissa Prakapas; nephews Edward (Eddy) Gwynn, Eric Prakapas, Jason Prakapas; nieces Abigail (Abby) Gwynn and Alexis (Lexi) Prakapas; his uncle Walter Junkins; aunts Mary Kozlowski and Ruth Hartkoph; and his beloved dog Bowie. Steven was preceded in death by his loving brother, Eddie and sister, Annmarie along with many other aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Relatives and Friends are invited to attend Visiting Hours at Casper Funeral Home 187 Dorchester St, South Boston on Thursday, September 10th From 4-7PM and a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Brigid's Parish 841 E Broadway, Boston, MA 02127 on September 11th at 11AM.

Though he is no longer with us, his memory will live on in the hearts of many friends and family.
