Medway's Muffin House Adds Seventh Location

A familiar Medway name has arrived in Canton, bringing an extensive selection of muffins, pastries and breakfast fare to Cobb Corner.

Muffin House Cafe opened its seventh location late in August at 22 Washington St., taking over a space formerly occupied by Dunkin’. The family-owned Massachusetts business is known for its handmade muffins, cakes and pastries, along with coffee, breakfast sandwiches and other morning favorites.

The opening drew an enthusiastic response from customers. In a social media post following the first day, Muffin House Cafe thanked both patrons and employees while acknowledging that staff members were still settling into the new location and working through some final details.

“We’re so grateful for the warm welcome,” the company said.

Muffin House Cafe was founded in 2014 by Sheldon and Josh Strasnick and has steadily expanded across the region. In addition to its new Canton cafe, the company operates its original location in Medway, as well as locations in Mendon, Natick, Hopkinton, Westwood and Walpole.

Muffins remain at the heart of the business. The menu offers nearly two dozen varieties, complemented by an assortment of other baked goods and breakfast choices.

The Canton opening marks another step in the growth of a business that began as a local bakery and has developed a following across several eastern Massachusetts communities. With its Cobb Corner location, Muffin House Cafe brings that formula to a new audience while remaining close to its local, family-owned roots.
