Medway Officers Make OUI Arrest

Medway Officers arrested Gregory Shea, age 36, of Norfolk, outside the Shaw’s supermarket on Wednesday  and charged him with Operating Under the Influence of Alcohol, 2nd Offense.

A motorist called the Millis Police Department to report having nearly been struck by an erratic operator, who had also almost struck a school transport van. Millis notified Medway Dispatch as the car was headed towards Medway on Route 109. An off-duty Millis Police Officer also saw the erratic operator, called in a report, and later responded to assist after going on duty. The witnesses directed our officer to the Medway Commons parking lot outside of Shaw’s.

Officers found the car parked in the middle of a travel lane in the parking lot with the driver’s door open. Mr. Shea was found in the driver’s seat. Mr. Shea was initially uncooperative. Officers arrested him after an on-scene investigation, transported him, and booked him at the Medway Police Station; he was tol be arraigned at Wrentham District Court.
