Today at 6pm, Franklin TV is launching a news magazine show, FM Journal, hosted by Liz Kalaijian, the town's Director of Communications and Community Engagement. The first episode will feature the new sculpture park installations, the Maloney rescue farm, a highlight of the Franklin Kitchen Center, a reptile show at the library and the 9/11 ceremony at the fire station. 

FM Journal can be seen on Youtube and cable on Franklin TV's  All-Access TV channel (Comcast Channel 6 and Verizon Channel 26). Tune in for local stories that matter!

FM Journal is a collaborative effort between Franklin TV and the broader Franklin community to bring viewers the stories that matter. The 30-minute monthly news show features multiple stories shot by Chris Leverone and interviews shot by Chris Flynn. To tie it together, Kalaijian hosts the show on Franklin TV's  state of the art virtual set. Franklin TV's new Executive Director, Liz Harkins developed FM Journal over the Summer, having already produced the Wrentham 360 show at Wrentham Cable8. Her experience in writing and directing news programs has been instrumental in getting it up and running. It is part of a broader effort to expand Franklin TV's community outreach, including digital signage and a revamped web presence.

Host Kalaijian has public-sector and media experience and began her career in television media as an Assignment Editor at WBZ in Boston and Boston 25 in Dedham.
