Robert Roger Vallee Sr.

April 26 1933 – September 29 2026

Robert Roger Vallee Sr., of Franklin, passed away peacefully at his home in September 29, 2026, surrounded by the family he loved so dearly. He was born in Woonsocket, Rhode Island, in April 1933.

Robert was a graduate of Providence College and a proud United States Army veteran of the Korean War. He dedicated much of his life to education, teaching meteorology and French at Franklin High School. A natural teacher, he shared his knowledge generously, both in the classroom and throughout his community. He was also a skilled watchmaker and, together with his beloved wife, Patricia, owned and operated Vallee Jewelers in Franklin before passing the business to their son.

Robert had a deep and lasting commitment to the town of Franklin. He served for many years on the Franklin Town Council, including as Chairman for much of his tenure, and also served as Chairman of the Franklin Rotary Club. He cared deeply about the town and its citizens and took great pride in serving the community he called home.

A man of many interests, Robert loved nature, trees, gardening and working in his yard. He enjoyed photography, the beach and the ocean, and cherished the many family adventures he shared with his loved ones, especially their trips to Disney. His love of teaching extended beyond the classroom; he was known for sharing his time and knowledge freely.

Above all, Robert was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. His greatest joy was his family, and he leaves behind a lifetime of memories that will be treasured by those who knew and loved him.

He was the beloved husband of Patricia Tulis Vallee; devoted father of Robert Vallee Jr., James Vallee (and Nadira Vallee), and Andreelise Vallee; loving grandfather of Brydie Vallee Grover, Shay Vallee Grover, Lucy Vallee, Beatrice Vallee, Sam Vallee, and Will Vallee; and proud great-grandfather of Theodore Bohn.

He was predeceased by his parents, Emile Vallee and Rosa Fournier Vallee; his brothers, John and Marcelle Vallee; and his sister, Murielle Vallee.

Robert will be remembered for his generous spirit, his love of learning and teaching, his devotion to his family, and his deep commitment to his community. His influence reached far beyond his many years, and he will be dearly missed by his family, friends, former students, and the many people whose lives he touched.
