MEDWAY: Kathleen Margret Keough

Kathleen Margaret Keough, 83, of Medway died peacefully, October 3 following a long illness.

Born in Framingham February 23, 1943, the daughter of R. Harold and Agnes (MacGinnis ) Keough, Kathleen was raised in Millis.

After graduating from high school, Kathleen received her Bachelor’s Degree from Emmanuel College before continuing her education at University of Wisconsin. She happily spent many years thereafter with her “Wisconsin family” before returning to Millis to help care for her beloved mother. She had lived in Medway for the past 30 years.

She found her calling teaching Women’s Studies at the University while living in Wisconsin. She was later an educator at Medfield State Hospital.

Kathleen enjoyed attending church every day to meet up with her rosary group and her faith was very important to her. She was a voracious reader and surrounded herself with books and also loved to play scrabble on the computer.

As a lifelong Boston sports fan, she had a soft spot for the Green Bay Packers. Kathy was very giving and started her extensive Christmas shopping in July. She loved spending time with family and friends during the holidays.

She is survived by her brother William Keough of East Dennis. Kathleen was predeceased by her brother Thomas Keough and sister Barbara Souza. Kathleen was the sister in law of the late Carol Keough, Maureen Keough and Al Souza.

She is also survived by her many nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews, along with many others who benefited from her generosity.

Her funeral mass will be celebrated October 14th in St. Joseph Church at 10:00a.m.

Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Millis.

Calling hours will be in the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home (ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 3 Barber Street, Medway on Tuesday, October 13th from 4-7 p.m.
