Ramon “Ray” Garcia Jr.
April 14, 1961 – October 20, 2026
Ramon “Ray” Garcia Jr., 65, passed away peacefully on October 20, 2026, at Tufts Medical Center in Boston. Born in Havana, Cuba, he was the beloved son of the late Ramon Garcia Sr. and Olga Garcia.
Ray is survived by his sister, Anna Glynn, and her sons, Shawn and Nicholas Glynn; Michelle Gould-Poissant, whom he loved as a sister, and her daughters, Nicole and Danielle Poissant; his older daughter, Mikaela Cushman, her husband, William, and their sons, Tyler and Mason Cushman; and his younger daughter, Danielle Sullivan, her husband, Robert, and their children, Jason and Amelia Murray and Lilly and Nora Sullivan.
Ray earned his business degree from Northeastern University and went on to own and operate a construction company alongside his father. He took great pride in his work and was known for his dedication and strong work ethic.
His Catholic faith was an important part of his life. Ray loved God, his church, and his community. He was a former member of the Millis Knights of Columbus and spent many years serving others. Ray was also a member of the Woodville Rod and Gun Club in Hopkinton, where he enjoyed playing horseshoes and had many outdoor adventures. The friendships and memories he made through both organizations meant a great deal to him.
Above all else, family was Ray’s greatest joy. He adored his two daughters and took tremendous pride in the families they had built. Being Grandpa to his six grandchildren was one of his most treasured roles. He loved watching them grow and made countless memories together. His love for them was unconditional, and the bond they shared will live on forever.
Ray knew how to enjoy life's simple pleasures, whether visiting family in Florida, soaking up the warm weather, sipping a piña colada on a cruise, binge-watching a great TV show or movie, or satisfying his well-known sweet tooth. He also had a daring, playful side and wouldn't hesitate to roll the dice and put it all on red. His love of life helped him build lasting friendships in Florida, New York, and the many other communities he called home.
During the final week of his life, Ray’s daughters remained by his side every day, surrounding him with care and comfort. He passed peacefully, knowing just how deeply he was loved.
Ray leaves behind a lifetime of memories. His spirit will live on through his family, his friendships, and the countless lives he touched. He will be forever missed and always remembered.
