A proud veteran, Raymond served four years in the United States Army as a topographic surveyor, using his precision and mapping expertise while stationed in Europe. It was during his military service in Europe that he met the love of his life, Urania, in Greece. For Raymond, it was love at first sight. After enduring a six-month deployment apart, he returned to her, and the two were married before returning to the United States to build their life and family together.

Throughout his life, Raymond carried a deep passion for history and genealogy, spending countless hours tracing family roots and exploring the past. He was a man of many interests, always eager to dive into new hobbies and lively discussions-especially when it came to politics, a subject about which he was deeply passionate.
Known for his big personality, quick wit, and classic smooth-talking charm, Raymond could strike up a conversation with anyone and leave them smiling. His sense of humor and vibrant spirit made an unforgettable impression on everyone he met.
