Stephen Alan Green, a generous and compassionate adventurer who brought laughter and joy to everyone who had the privilege of knowing him, was born on October 17, 1953, in Providence, RI, and passed away on June 20, 2023. A lifelong resident of Massachusetts, Stephen held a successful career as an engineer in the manufacturing industry working at Gillette for 33 years before retiring in 2018.
A man of many talents and interests, he was an avid beekeeper, sailor, kayaker, hiker, and cooper who devoted much of his time and energy to supporting youth programs, including First Lego League and Moose Hill Audubon. As a member and volunteer for numerous organizations, Stephen's dedication to making a difference in his community was truly inspiring.

Stephen is survived by his loving wife, Shelley Green; his siblings, Andrew (Marty), Michael (Peggy), and Nancy; his nieces and nephews, Hank Jr, Rachel Berry, Justin Berry, Daniel Simonelli-Green, Nick Simonelli-Green, Tara Dunbar, Wesson Berry, Caleb Green, Olivia Green, Eleanor Green, and Evie Green; and his great-nephew, Wesson Berry. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sheldon and Joan Green, and his sister, Susan Borek.
As the famous quote goes, "To live in hearts we leave behind is not to die." Stephen certainly will live on in the hearts of his loved ones, who will cherish his memory and continue to be inspired by his adventurous spirit and his funny, generous nature.
In keeping with Stephen's compassionate spirit and his commitment to making a difference, in lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in his memory to the Massachusetts Beekeepers Association at www.massbee.org or the Michael J. Fox Foundation at www.michaeljfox.org
Stephen's funeral services will be held privately.
