It seems like everyone is in on the school ranking game, from regional lifestyle magazines to US News and many others, too.
Recent entries include school ranking site Niche, which ranked high schools in Norfolk County. Their ‘top 5’ included Brookline, Sharon, Dover-Sherborn, Wellesley and Westwood. They placed Franklin farther down in the field at #13.
Then there is the survey from publicschoolreview.com, which also looked at Norfolk County and came up with a different ‘top 5,’ namely: Dover-Sherborn, Wellesley, Needham, Millis, and Cohasset. In their ranking Franklin came in further down the pack, at #26. Medway and Medfield were ranked in the top 10.
U.S. News & World Report ranked FHS 88th within Massachusetts and 2,283rd nationally. in the National Rankings. Schools are ranked on their performance on state-required tests, graduation and how well they prepare students for college, according to the publication web site.
