Franklin will play host to two Pokémon card shows on the 24th of September and another one on December 10th. They are both on Sunday from 12-4 at 15 Main St., hosted by “Pokémon Trainers Universe,” a store that sells Pokémon items.

The events typically attract between 300-400 visitors and 15-20 dealers. “This is a big event for downtown that has been going every three months for the last two years,” said proprietor Rod Crochiere.

Pokémon cards is still a big collectible, and the community is very large in the region, he explained. The typical demographic is both men/women and boys/girls under the age of 35. “I have noticed that at our shows and events many parents meet each other for the first time and end up hanging out together while the kids walk the floor of the show,” he added.

Monthly Event, Too

On Monday September 4th Pokémon Trainers Universe hosted a monthly Pokémon Club at 15 Main St. from 6:30pm-8:30pm. “The first hour we talk about the hobby of collecting cards. The second hour is a trade event for anyone looking to trade cards. I also offer a 20% discount on single packs of cards from behind our counter during the Club event,” said Crochiere.

Pokémon Club is always the first Monday of every month and the next one is October 2nd.

These events can all be found on the website: www.pokemontrainersuniverse.com
