Free Food Handling Training

For those working in or thinking about working in the food and beverage field, it is critical to know and understand food safety protocols. The person in charge must be knowledgeable
and responsible for FDA Food Code compliance. Fortunately, the Franklin Board of Health can provide access to "Person in Charge" training that covers topics such as:

  • Personal Hygiene
  • Food Holding/Time and Temperature
  • Contaminated Equipment/CrossContamination
  • Unsafe Food Source
  • Active Managerial Control/HACCP Principals
  • Standing Operating Procedures

The 2-hour self-paced course is available online. Interested
parties should click here to register and set up an account. Once the course is completed a certificate of completion will be issued.
