Delwyn G. Arnold

Delwyn G. Arnold (July 29, 1932 - January 17, 2024) passed away peacefully in his sleep, surrounded by the warmth of his family. He led a remarkable life, leaving behind a legacy of dedication, service, and love. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Shirley (née Broecker), his three children Sandra Anderson, Daniel Arnold, and Susan Mirza, and two cherished grandchildren, Cole Anderson and Inayah Mirza. 

A devoted family man, Delwyn served in the army and pursued his education while raising his young family. He achieved the remarkable feat of graduating with a BS in electrical engineering, showcasing his determination and commitment to providing for his loved ones. Delwyn honed his boating skills on the Erie Canal and further demonstrated his passion for gardening. 

After a fulfilling and productive career in electrical engineering, Delwyn redirected his energy towards community service. He played an active role in various capacities at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Holliston, MA. His civic contributions extended to the town of Franklin, where he notably served on the town historical commission. 

Delwyn took charge of the Franklin Historical Museum during its relocation to its present location, leaving an indelible mark on the preservation of local history.
Delwyn's knowledge, skills, and warm presence will be profoundly missed by his family and friends. His legacy lives on through the lives he touched and the communities he enriched. May he rest in peace.
