IFB/ROAD LINE PAINTING & STREET MARKING LEGAL NOTICE Invitation for Bids (IFB) TOWN OF FRANKLIN, MA In accordance with MGL c.30 section 39m, it is the intention of the Town to contract for services to perform Road Line Painting and Street Marking on various roadways in the Town of Franklin. Project: The epoxy marking material shall be hot applied by spray methods onto bituminous and Portland cement concrete pavement surfaces after being cleared of freestanding water by being blown with compressed air. Painted markings shall be applied by a self-propelled striping machine only, equipped with a measuring device to total the footage applied by each spray gun separately. The markings shall be done in a workmanlike manner and in accordance with good practices with lines well defined and without deviation. Pavement markings shall only be applied during conditions of dry weather and on substantially dry pavement surfaces. At the time of installation, the pavement surface temperature shall be a minimum of 40 degrees Fahrenheit and rising. Only contractors having at least five (5) years' experience having completed Line Painting and Street Marking Projects for a city or town in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts will be considered as responsive and eligible for bidding. RFQ/OPM SERVICES - NEW POLICE STATION LEGAL NOTICE REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS (RFQ) TOWN OF FRANKLIN OPM SERVICES FOR A NEW POLICE STATION In accordance with Chapter 149, Section 44A 1/2 of the Massachusetts General Laws, it is the intention of the Town of Franklin to retain the services of an Owner's Project Manager (OPM). The term Owner's Project Manager is defined as “an individual, corporation, partnership, sole proprietorship, Joint Stock Company, joint venture, or other entity engaged in the practice of providing project management services for the construction and supervision of construction buildings.” The owner's project manager is prohibited from having any affiliation with the designer, contractor, or any other party having an interest in the project. Project: New Franklin Police Station on a new site. The current Franklin Police Station opened in 1991 when there were 22 patrol officers and about 15,000 less people living in Franklin. The existing site is constrained by wetlands surrounding three sides of the site.
