Carmela Hillier (Mahoney) Eames, 80, formerly of Franklin, MA died February 15 in the MetroWest Medical Center in Framingham, MA following a long illness.
Born in Newton, January 24,1944, the daughter of the late John and Carmela (Hillier) Mahoney, Carmela was raised in Newton and had lived in Franklin for over 50 years.
Carmela had been an executive assistant for many companies. She had the best computer skills and was always ready to give a creative helping hand when needed. She was a beautiful writer and wrote amazing stories.
Carmela enjoyed horseback riding, boating, snow skiing, cats and family memories at Humarock Beach. Her favorite pass time was looking out at the Charles River for wildlife while enjoying a glass of wine on the famous deck. She loved to entertain at her home and loved throwing dinner parties.
She is survived by her daughter Jessica Johnson of Westerly, Rhode Island.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Kyle and Skylar Johnson.
Carmela was the sister of the late John Dennis Mahoney, Jr, and Janice Lynn Weschler.
A celebration of Carmela’s life will be held in the late Spring at Humarock.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to HSUS (Humane Society of the United States) as she loved all animals.
