SPECIAL ELECTION NOTICE LEGAL NOTICE From the Office of the Town Clerk, Nancy Danello, CMC Re: Important information regarding the Special Election, June 11, 2024 With the formal approval of our Town Council members by Resolution 24- 21 for the purpose of a Special Election to be held on June 11, 2024 @ the Franklin High School from 6AM to 8PM. The question reads: Shall the Town of Franklin be allowed to assess an additional 6.8 million dollars in real estate and personal property taxes for the purpose of the operating budget for which monies from this assessment will be used for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2024? “The above question will be the only question on the ballot, it is a Yes or No question.” Immediately after receiving ballots, the Town Clerk's Office will be hosting in-person early voting during normal business hours which are Mon., Tues., Thurs. from 8AM to 4PM, Wednesday, 8AM to 6PM and Friday from 8AM to 1PM. There will also be one (1) weekend day which is scheduled for Saturday, June 1st from 9AM to 4PM in the Clerk's Office Only. For Voters who have requested a vote by mail ballot for the State Election (11/5) by completing the card sent by the Secretary of the Commonwealth, you will also be receiving a ballot for this Special Election. IFB/Traffic Signal Repair LEGAL NOTICE Invitation for Bids (IFB) TOWN OF FRANKLIN, MA In accordance with MGL c.30 section 39m, it is the intention of the Town to contract for the services of a Traffic Signal Repair Company for the maintenance and repair of traffic signals. The Company must provide normal, routine, and emergency service on a 24 hour, 7 days per week basis (including holidays) with a response time of not more than 2 hours. Project: The work shall consist of maintaining and responding to emergency repairs/part replacement and or completing any required improvements to the traffic signals. Work will be under the direction of the Public Works Highway Division in co-operation with the Franklin Police Department to maintain public safety. The Town will complete the ordering of Police Detail when applicable and pay for the detail. The work is not limited to: general service calls, resets, replacement parts, and checking of signal controls, switches, flashers and providing a utility truck. All work shall comply with NEMA. Traffic Signal locations include all of the Town's major travel routes and flashing units located within our school districts. 55 Constitution Blvd Legal Notice Town of Franklin Conservation Commission Pursuant to Massachusetts General Laws Ch. 131, s.40 (Wetlands Protection Act), the Franklin Conservation Commission will hold a Hybrid Public Hearing on Thursday, May 16, 2024 at 7:10 PM on an Abbreviated Notice of Resource Area Delineation (ANRAD) filed by Todd Morey of Beals Associates, Inc., Boston, MA, on behalf of Jeff Sullivan of Northbridge Partners, Wakefield, MA. The ANRAD serves to determine the boundary of Bordering Vegetated Wetlands, Isolated Vegetated Wetlands, Isolated Land Subject to Flooding, and their associated Buffer Zones. The Project is located at 55 Constitution Boulevard, Map 313, Lot 59 within the Industrial Zone. The hearing will provide an open forum for the discussion.
