Mary L. (Petrovski) DiLeonardo, 92, of Franklin, passed away peacefully, July 25, 2024 at Blaire House in Milford. Born in Boston, October 11, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Stacia C. Petrofsky. She was raised and educated in Norwood, Massachusetts and graduated from Norwood High School Class of 1949.

Mary married the love of her life, Michael (Mikie) P. DiLeonardo, Jr on February 20, 1955 in St. Mary’s Church, East Walpole, MA. Following a honeymoon in New York City, they settled in Franklin and shared 53 years of marriage until Mikie’s passing in 2008.

Mary was employed by the Town of Franklin, serving as supervisor for the Meals on Wheels program for 17 years. She and her husband were actively involved with the Franklin Council on the Aging and the Franklin Senior Center. She was a member volunteer of the Decorating Committee for the annual Franklin Christmas on the Common celebration and enjoyed the honor of serving as Mrs. Claus.

Mary is survived by her two loving daughters Christine (Donald) DiMartino of Franklin,
Maryann (David) Black of Lancaster, NH, and two granddaughters, Arielle Black of Playa del Carmen, Mexico and Christina Black of Trumbull, CT.

Mary was a devoted and loving wife, mother and friend. Her family takes comfort in knowing she is reunited in Heaven with her husband who she missed dearly over the past 16 years.

Her funeral will be held Wednesday, July 31, from the Charles F. Oteri and Son Funeral Home, 33 Cottage Street, Franklin with visitation from 9:30-10:30AM followed by a funeral Mass at St. Mary’s Church, Franklin, at 11AM. Her burial will be held privately.

Mary’s daughters wish to express their sincere appreciation to the wonderful staff of Blaire House 2 East for the loving care they provided to their late mother, as well as the Activities, Physical Therapy and Social Services department for all they do each, and every day to ensure their residents are entertained, active and well cared for.
